Guide to TF2 Sniper Achievements, Part 3

I'd like to take this time to tell ya one thing, mate: thanks for standing still! Seriously! I'd be gobsmacked if ya blokes ever took the time to actually move around! Granted, it would not make ya live that much longer, but hey, more power to ya. Now, if ya want to know something, I'll let you in on a secret. I mean, we are mates, after all. All the other snipers love a good story 'round the bush telly. So I'm gonna show you how to give them a whopper next time we have a barbie. Just don't let the others know that I helped ya. They'd whinge like nothing else. Especially don't let them know that I've helped ya more than once or twice.
Have a Plan

Capture the flag in CTF.

Hoo boy. If you had to ask us which achievement you would be least likely to get while playing your class role, this one would be it. A Sniper grabbing the intel? That's absurd! Your easiest option to get this achievement, if you wish, is to pick up the intel after one of your teammates has dropped it and return it to the drop off. If you can't manage such luck, just be offensive! We suggest the Huntsman if you plan on using that method.

The way your farm this achievement is easy beyond belief. Join an empty server, preferably on the map 2fort. Run and get the intel. Then score with it. You don't even need a friend on the opposite team! It's a completely solo farm, and an easy one to boot. If you want this achievement, we suggest farming it rather than attempting it the normal way.

Note: Interestingly enough, this s the only achievement to call it a flag and not intel. However, once again, a reference to the Meet The Sniper video, which can be downloaded in full HD glory right here on Big Download. There's only one more achievement with a reference to this video, thankfully, and it is...

Jarate Chop

Jarate and then kill 3 enemies with your Kukri.

Thank god that this one does not have to be consecutive. Otherwise it would be really hard! To get this, you obviously need the Jarate. Our suggestion is to use it on any enemy Spy you are attacking, as a quick soften with Jarate and then a few slices with your Kukri can't hurt! Really, though, you can use it against just about anybody, as long as you are at a close range.

To farm this, have your friend be a Spy for you and have him cloak before you hit him with the Jarate. By doing this, you are simultaneously farming for this achievement, Jarring Transition, and Kook the Spook, saving on time that you could be spending playing the game proper! Naturally, you should return the favor to your friend who is graciously allowing you to slice him to ribbons.

Note: As said before, you don't have to get them all consecutively. You also don't have to weaken them with the Kukri as well. You just have to get the killing strike with it. So if you are going against a fully overhealed heavy, we suggest weakening him a little.

Jarring Transition

Use Jarate to reveal a cloaked Spy.

Yet another Jarate achievement! They come out of the woodworks with this expansion, and we're not quite sure why. Either way, you need the Jarate to pull this one off, of course. It's a rather difficult achievement to get unless you are extremely observant, as a cloaked spy can get into bases pretty much effortlessly. Unless they have been hit lately, or you bump into them, chances are you aren't going to find any spies through random jar tossing. Your best bet is to throw jars into groups of attacking enemies, as a Spy loves to use conflict as cover for infiltration.

To farm this one, you'll pretty much want to just do Jarate Chop, only have your friend cloak as a Spy before you dissect him like a biology experiment. By doing this, he nets you an easy two achievements! One for decloaking, and one for a Jarate + Kukri combination. Nice.

Note: This has to be a cloaked Spy. Not a gisguised one. However, a disguised AND cloaked Spy is definitely fair game for your big jar of urine.

Jumper Stumper

Kill a rocket or grenade-jumping enemy in midair with your Sniper Rifle or the Huntsman.

This achievement is much like Dropped Dead, only it revolves around rocket- and grenade-jumping enemies rather than Scouts that are in midair. Naturally, these enemies will be much weaker due to the explosions necessary to propel them, so it may be a little easier to get. Definitely easiest in 2fort, as Soldiers have a tendency to suddenly jump onto the balcony, and Demoman players love to jump across the middle area with a well-placed grenade jump from the balcony.

TO farm this achievement, have a friend continually damage himself until he can survive only one more rocket-jump. After he gets to this point, have him rocket-jump and then blow him away. Or fill him full of arrows. Your call! This achievement does not farm well with others, as it is the only achievement of its kind.

Note: Much like any othe rkill achievement, only the killing blow must be dealt with the weapon defined. If need be, they can be weakened by either your shots or the shots of your teammates.

Kill Everyone You Meet

Kill 1000 enemies.

Do not farm this achievement. I'll say it again. Do not, under any circumstance, farm this achievement. It is a complete waste of time to farm, as you have to get 1000 kills! Just play as a Sniper in regular play. If you are an especially talented Sniper playing mainly on CTF maps, you can get this achievement in a few weeks. Either way, completely forget about "striving" for this achievement, as it will come around through normal gameplay.

Note: ...this one! The full phrase in question, in case you have simply not watched the video, is "Be polite, be efficient, and have a plan to kill everyone you meet." Now that we have sorted that out, we can use the notes for much more important things! Truth or dare?
