Guide to TF2 Sniper Achievements, Part 2

I'd like to take this time to tell ya one thing, mate: thanks for standing still! Seriously! I'd be gobsmacked if ya blokes ever took the time to actually move around! Granted, it would not make ya live that much longer, but hey, more power to ya. Now, if ya want to know something, I'll let you in on a secret. I mean, we are mates, after all. All the other snipers love a good story 'round the bush telly. So I'm gonna show you how to give them a whopper next time we have a barbie. Just don't let the others know that I helped ya. They'd whinge like nothing else. Especially don't let them know that I've helped ya more than once.
Dead Reckoning

Kill an enemy with an arrow while you're dead.

An oddly hilarious achievement, this one also requires the Hunstman unlock. While it seems counter-intuitive to kill an enemy after your death, several classes, most notably the Demoman and Soldier, can do so. In this case, you have to launch an arrow, be killed, and while dead have your arrow strike true. Easiest in a Sniper war, where you can launch your arrow, die to a headshot, then get the arrow kill, but can be done with any method and at medium or long range.

To farm this achievement, replicate a fake Sniper war, with your friend playing the enemy. Draw your bow, shoot, get killed, then get the kill. Viola, you have the achievement! Note that you will need to be a fair distance away so that your friend can get the headshot before your arrow makes all his blood leak out It may be a good idea to work on this achievement with another one, such as Australian Rules.

Note; You do not have to kill the enemy that killed you with the arrow. You only have to kill any enemy. So if you line up a Medic, release your arrow, and then die to a headshot, you can still get the achievement if the Medic dies.

De-sentry-lized

Destroy 3 Engineer sentry guns.

An obvious pun on "decentralized", this achievement has you eliminating enemy sentries, which is easier said than done. The easiest way, of course, is to play on the attacking team in any attack/defense map. As sentries will be quite prolific, you can find many targets with which to gun down. Get three over the course of your career, and the achievement is yours. This is easier said than done, as Engineers will almost always be working on said guns, so you may want to headshot the Engineer before attempting to destroy the gun.

To farm this, have a friend build a sentry far enough away that, if completed, it won't harm you. Then fully charge a shot and destroy the sentry with a single bullet. Do this three times, and the achievement is yours. Alternatively, you can destroying the in-construction sentry with your SMG or Kukri to get the achievement as well. An easy achievement to acquire through farming, but not so easy normally.

Note: The sentry guns can be in any mode of construction, from being built to fully upgraded. Naturally, a sentry is most vulnerable while being constructed, so it is best to do this achievement then.

Dropped Dead

Kill a Scout in midair with your Sniper Rifle or the Huntsman.

Possibly one of the easiest achievements to get, especially with the Sniper Rifle. Simply sit on the balcony of 2 fort and fully charge your shot. Wait for a Scout to run across the top of the bridge. Then, as the Scout jumps to your balcony, pop one in him. As you are full charged, it won't matter where you hit. That Scout is deader than a doornail. Can also be done with a Huntsman, if you so wish.

To farm this achievement, have a friend double-jump as a Scout in front of you as your Sniper Rifle charges. Once it reaches full charge, place a shot directly into his head or center of body mass. A dead Scout equals yet another achievement! This achievement bears remarkable similarity to Jumper Stumper, except that Jumper Stumper is based around killing a rocket- or grenade-jumping enemy.

Enemy at the Gate

Kill an opponent within the first second of a round.

A hard achievement to get, unless the enemy team is idiotic. Simply put, charge your shot to maximum while waiting for the beginning of a round. Then, as soon as the gates open, fire and get a headshot on some fool unlcuky enough to stand within your line of sight. The problem with this is that most players know not to stand near the gates before a round starts, making this achievement less about skill and more about luck. Alternatively, you can attempt to kill an enemy Sniper while you are on the attacking team, as this achievement does not track whether or not you are defending or attacking.

To farm this achievement, simply set up a friend on the enemy team that will stand by the gate for you. When the gate opens, pop a headshot on him. Instant achievement, and one that does not require any other significant contribution. That single headshot is it! Then play the match as normal and keep the enemy from taking your points! Or take the enemy points. Your call.

Note: The title of this achievement is derived from the non-fiction book Enemy At The Gates: The Battle for Stalingrad, and by extension the film of the same name.

Friendship is Golden

Extinguish a burning teammate with your Jarate.

This achievement is one of the many Jarate achievements that are present in the new set. They are plentiful, but this is perhaps the easiest of all of them. As you are probably aware, Jarate extinguishes teammates that are on fire. This is a humiliating process, but he, at least they aren't burning alive anymore! Simply toss the Jarate onto a burning buddy to get the achievement. There is no sense in farming this achievement at all, as you can get it with one hand tied behind your back.

Note: If you are really desperate, you can also throw the jar of urine at your own feet to extinguish yourself and get the achievement. As you count as your own teammate, it definitely triggers the achievement.
