Right as scheduled, the Gamersgate PC game download service has just re-launched with a major redesign and upgrade. The service, which originally started as part of Paradox Interactive before being spun off into its own business, is celebrating by putting the recent WWII RTS game Men of War on sale for just $11.99, a 60 percent savings from its normal price tag.
As explained on this page, the new Gamersgate has a number of new features. One of them is the Blue Coin system for buying games. The Blue Coin system will allow gamers to collect credit to purchase games by reviewing them on the site. They can also earn Blue Coins by joining the site's Game Tutor program which will let users help others answer their game-related questions. The more activity a person does on the site, the higher the membership level they will reach. (Of course you can still pay for games on the site the old fashioned way with a credit card or via PayPal).

They also have HAWX for 50% off for today only. That is really tempting. Posted at 9:31AM on May 26th 2009 by ChimpWithAHandgun

It's so hard to want to buy from some place other than Steam, even when the games are vastly cheaper. Even Impulse is a stretch for me. Men of War does look good, though. PC Gamer dug it.Posted at 8:58AM on May 26th 2009 by Sokkratez
