As we have reported, the latest Sniper/Spy content update for Team Fortress 2 has had its share of issues, particularly with the whole "dropping new weapons and items" dealie. Late on Friday Valve issued a new update to the game via Steam but the item dropping issues are not yet addressed with this patch (although we have been assured that they will be)
Instead the patch fixes some more general bugs that have been discovered since the release, particularly a number of issues surrounding the Ambassador, the new powerful pistol for the Spy character. Also Valve has put in a number of new Team Fortress 2 related items on sale in their Steam online store. They include some nifty looking T-shirts for the Sniper and Spy, a cool "Sniper Vs Spy" poster, some mousepads for The Heavy and the Sentry weapon, Team Fortress 2 coffee mugs (your pick, Red or Blue team) and a great looking limited editon (only 500 made) lithograph of The Heavy. You can get the regular one for $39.95 or spend $100 to get one numbered in the 2-100 range and signed by its artist Moby Francke. They also come with a certificate of authenticity signed by Valve's head man Gabe Newell.
