Blur officially announced for the PC [Update]


UK-based Bizarre Creations is best known for their Xbox 360 racing game series Project Gotham Racing, but they have also made the third person shooter The Club and the addictive arcade game Geometry Wars, both of which were released for the PC. Today their new publisher Activision have announced that their latest racing game, Blur, will be coming to the PC as well.

According to today's press release Bizarre Creations is trying to put in some action game elements in their racing title. Power ups can be collected during the race that have "the ability to blast other cars out of the way with huge bursts of energy, boost their speed, and more. " Real world locations like Los Angeles, San Fransisco and Barcelona, Spain will be used and real world card with detailed damage models will be a part of Blur. Multiplayer races of up to 20 people will also be available for Blur which is due out this fall.

Update: It looks like the game's official web site will go live on Wednesday.
