One of the most anticipated PC games of all time is finally showing signs that it's getting closer to release. Today Blizzard announced that they have officially started taking sign-ups from folks who would like to beta test StarCraft II, their upcoming sequel to the hugely successful sci-fi RTS game.
If you want to be considered for the beta test you must first have a Battle.net account. Once that is set up you can log into the account and click "Beta Profile Settings", Then you will be taken through the new beta opt-in process. You will also be asked to give a snapshot of your PC's system specs. People who have a beta code from last year's BlizzCon can go ahead enter their code at the World of Warcraft site.
Blizzard's forums also have an extensive FAQ on the StarCraft II beta test which goes through the entire process. While there is no set date for the beta to begin the FAQ does say that North American beta testers will get first access.
