Resident Evil 5 finally confirmed for PC release
While Capcom is still keeping specific release dates on the down low, saying only it's coming " later in the year" they did say there will be online co-op support in the PC version. It will also support Nvidia's GeForce 3D Vision glasses giving gamers who want that sort of thing a way to play the game with 3D effects.

I have only heard RE4 wasn't the best port to PC. Does anyone know Capcoms track record for quality when it comes to games for the PC?
I'm really excited for the release of SFIV since I haven't played a Capcom game on PC since the days of SF2 for DOS. And with this news of RE5, I'd gladly pick it up to if would turn out well!Posted at 1:08PM on May 1st 2009 by Kelly
Ubisoft handled the PC port of RE4. Enough said.Posted at 1:36PM on May 1st 2009 by bluezy
Capcom Pc games Well Bionic Commando Rearmed on the Pc is better than the two other versions in my opinion Re4 PC did Suck BAD thank god i didnt waste my money on itPosted at 2:07PM on May 1st 2009 by Mest
Lost Planet was a fairly poorly done port. The performance was fine, but references to Xbox 360 controls were all over the place. I suppose if you just used an Xbox 360 controller you'd be all set... but what PC gamer is going to forego their beloved mouse+keyboard. Playable and enjoyable, but sloppy. (Devil May Cry 4 was the same way.)
Also worth noting is that fact that Capcom usually charges about $10 less for their PC releases (ie. 39.99), which is great.
Looking forward to RE5 coop myself.Posted at 3:34PM on May 1st 2009 by Mike

Try buying it you dirty dumb fucker, that's exactly the reason developers are trying to steer away from realising games for the PC, because of cheap skate idiots like your self stealing and not contributing to the hard work put into developing games.Posted at 3:35AM on May 22nd 2009 by bob
Oh my... If Capcom really releases this games on PC, I SWEAR I'm going to get it in first place no matter what my friends told me on how bad it's on PS3 ---bla bla bla (I guess they're not RE fans aren't they?)~ CAPCOM oh CAPCOM, please release it earlier...(will it release around July????)Posted at 11:27PM on May 23rd 2009 by Derek W

Pull your head out of your rear end mate, lets face facts the Playstation would have been a complete flop if it had decent copy protection on it. The graphics were shite (unless using pre-rendered stuff) and there was better hardware out during it's lifetime (N64, Dreamcast)... so shut up and spend money on games if you want to. I'll happily be paying nothing for games and laugh in your face. Video games are just the same as movies and music, developers/studios bitch about people making copies but they don't seem to think the only reason we do pirate things is because they make them well too expensive. If games were better priced people wouldn't be interested in piracey as it is effort and can have disasterous results. People like you make me sick just because you pay money doesn't mean everyone else is and before you open your mouth again don't bother more people were pirating back in the day and NOT ONE game company went bust, FACT. I'd also like to point out that most pirated games don't usually 100% work (it's usually multiplayer/online content that fails) so alot of us "dirty, dumb, fuckers" download games to try them out and buy them if we like them... usually when they're at a reasonable price.
If I was you I'd think a little before I posted, all these arguments against piracy, saying it's stealing, stopping future development, etc is propaganda and if you looked more into it usually the reason developers don't port games to PC is the fact that there's more money in console games, not PC ones (and there is also secondary developement costs when bugs are found).Posted at 4:10PM on Jun 30th 2009 by bobisanob

"Video games are just the same as movies and music, developers/studios bitch about people making copies but they don't seem to think the only reason we do pirate things is because they make them well too expensive" are you kidding? games are to expensive? get real if you can't afford the hobby get a new one you broke bitch. bottom line piracy IS theft. The music industry and game industry are nothing alike. here's a example say you get signed to a record label and you make a cd and it sells 1,000,000 copies, how much money does the band make? "a lot" eh wrong, the answer is nothing. let's explain shall we. when a band get's signed they might get a $500,000 contract to make there recording. that covers all the production costs and if the band has money left over they get to keep it so you would think there going to make some money now (because they have everything recorded and ready to sell with some money to spare) but you would be wrong again. Because the band basically got a loan to make there record and they have to pay it back with album sales. see about $5 dollars from every record sold goes to the record company, another $5 goes to the manager, and about $5 more would go to various other this depending on contractual obligatons. Leaving the band with $5 on each cd. now what if there are 5 band members? they each get about $1 on each cd. so guess what, if you buy the cd the band makes a dollar on each cd. to reiterate if you buy it the band makes nothing. now do you want to hear how you kill the games and the bands you like by pirating things? remember that $500,000 that the band got from the record label? they have to pay that back. if you were listening you may have picked up on the fact that every cd they sell they give $5 to the label. so more math $500,000/$5=100,000. so it takes them 100,000 copies just to pay the label back. so if everybody was like your dumbass they would be in debt to the label because no one bought the cd. my example was a gracious one. some record companies are harder on the artists. that's why alot of bands only come out with one cd because of dipshits like you. the game industry is the similar in one way. in that the developer only makes money if people buy the games. that's it, in sumation if your a poor bastard ( but yet again that might be why your poor, you never had a dad to teach you how to be a man) #14 you should get a new hobby. because i'm sure you spend more that $60 a week on hot pockets and capri suns you terd. but now it's time to go.Posted at 4:19AM on Jul 4th 2009 by 'bobisanob'isanidiot

That's the stupidest post I have ever read. Your argument is a load of crap. You pirate games and YOUR the victim? I'm sorry you feel games are too expensive. I mean, it only takes studios YEARS to make them. And I suppose all those people who create the games you pirate shouldnt be paid for thier efforts and feed there families right? You like working for free? Get a life.Posted at 11:41AM on Jul 17th 2009 by weltron

This is one of those games that seems like it would benefit greatly from a mouse instead of a thumbstick. After playing RE4 on the Wii I just couldn't manage to enjoy RE5 on 360 because aiming was more frustrating. Not being able to move while aiming also means you need to aim accurately and quickly. That said, hopefully this will have a LITTLE more effort than RE4 PC and actually incorporate the mouse in the first place!
Basically, I'm glad I waited, but I'm sad that I don't have a rig atm. Maybe I will by the time this comes out.Posted at 12:59PM on May 1st 2009 by JJ Milez
