A few months ago, Capcom announced plans to release Lost Planet 2, their sequel to their hit third person action game. While the title is still officially an Xbox 360 exclusive there are strong hints that the title will be coming to the PC as well.
One hint is that the original Lost Planet, along with its expanded version Lost Planet Colonies, were both released for the PC (indeed Lost Planet Colonies is one of the few games that supports PC-Xbox 360 cross platform multiplayer). In a recent press event, Kotaku reports that Capcom was demoing Lost Planet 2 on a PC rig, not an Xbox 360 dev kit. The Capcom rep, when asked if a PC version was indeed in the works, stated, " . . . . there may be something we can announce fairly shortly." Lost Planet 2 takes the original game out of the snow and ice and into a trpoical jungle setting and will feature co-op multiplayer for the first time.
