Rogue Warrior lives! (and he sounds like Mickey Rourke) [Update]

A couple of weeks ago we got word from Bethesda Softworks head Pete Hines that there may finally be some news coming soon about Rogue Warrior, the game that was first announced by the publisher in 2006 and then put under a cone of silence since. Today Bethesda sent out a press release announcing that the first person shooter was not only still in development but has snagged a big-time actor to voice the lead role.

That would be Mickey Rourke, who has a massive list of classic tough guy movie credits to his name and got an Oscar nod for Best Actor this year for his comeback role in The Wrestler. Rourke will handle the voice work for the lead character in the game Richard Marcinko. Marcinko is the real life Navy SEAL who has written both non-fiction books based on his exploits as well as fiction prose novels. The press release also confirmed that Rebellion is the new developer for the game (Zombie Studios was previously announced as the dev team). The game is due out this fall for the PC and other platforms.
