With the recent completion of Square Enix's purchase of UK based Eidos, many have wondered whether or not the Eidos brand itself would become exticnt. Today that issue was resolved as Eidos announced that it will continue to keep its brand and operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Square Enix.

Eidos CEO Phil Rogers will continue in that title and role in the new business structure. He will now report to Yoichi Wada, President and CEO Square Enix Holdings Co., Ltd. Eidos has several games under its brand that are under development including Battlestations Pacific, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Just Cause 2 and Deus Ex 3.
