Demigod launches strong in latest top 10 best selling PC game list

Stardock may have had some multiplayer connection issues when Demigod was first released but the RTS-RPG title from developer Gas Powered Games still managed to have a strong first week in sales. The latest list of the top 10 best selling PC games in retail stores (via, as always, by the NPD Group) shows Demigod debuting at number three on the list for the week ending April 18 (that number does not include purchases of the game via Stardock's Impulse download service).

Old stand-bys World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King and The Sims 2 Double Deluxe claimed the number one and two spots, respectively.

2. The Sims 2 Double Deluxe - Electronic Arts
3. Demigod - Gas Powered Games/Stardock
4. Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor - Relic/THQ
5. Empire: Total War - Sega
6. Left 4 Dead - Valve
7. World Of Warcraft Battle Chest - Blizzard
8. World Of Warcraft - Blizzard
9. The Sims 2 Apartment Life - Electronic Arts
10. Spore - Electronic Arts

So basically, all those FILTHY World Of Warcraft and Sims players are pirating Demigod and trying to play it online while they take a break from their "REAL" online games? Bastards.

This is a really great top ten list, PC games don't get enough love these days with XBOXn Playstation and Wii getting most of the glory. PC games will always be ahead of consoles in my opinion. Case in pint is the #1 WOW, which is the largest community of online gamers ever. Anyone can post their own list to our site http://www.toptentopten.com/.
