While Bethesda Softworks is keeping most of the info on the newly revealed Fallout: New Vegas on ice for now, a few new tidbits of info have been revealed via various sites. One comes from the RPGCodex.net message boards where Obsidian Entertainment's J.E. Sawyer confirms, "Yes. I'm the project director and lead designer. I can't complain." Sawyer worked at Interplay on their pass at Fallout 3 before the game was cancelled.
Over at Shacknews, they have a brief chat with Bethesda's PR rep Pete Hines who states that Obsidian was the right team to handle the continuation of the post-apocalyptic world Bethesda launched in Fallout 3. He says, "They have experience doing this kind of thing, they have guys that worked on the original Fallout games. We really liked their idea for what it is they wanted to do, and we just said, "Okay'"
