Game Informer's web site has now revealed the May-dated cover story for their print issue and as hinted by the Assassin's Creed 2 web site the cover advertised a preview of Assassin's Creed 2, the next game in the stealth action game series from Ubisoft. As you can see on the cover the first game's lead character of Altair has been replaced.

The new lead of Assassin's Creed 2 is named Ezio and he gets to ply his rather sneaky trade in an all new time and location: Renaissance-era Venice, Italy. Lots of info about what is contained in the preview article can be found over at the ScrewAttack web site. If true the sequel could likely silence the critics of the original game.
