This past week has been hard on the just announced Iraq War-based shooter Six Days in Fallujah. Many veterans and their families have made their opinions known to the media that they consider the upcoming Atomic Games-Konami title to be inappropriate. However not all Iraq war veterans feel that way.
G4TV's web site has posted up an article that has quotes from folks like Sgt. Casey J. McGeorge, who spent three tours of duty in Iraq. He states, "As a combat veteran and as a gamer, I have no problem whatsoever with the game...As long as it's made as realistically as possibly, I believe that this could be a good thing for both combat veterans and for the war in general." He and others interviewed for the feature point out that a realistic depiction of the Iraq War could help civilians in understanding what they went through.
And for those people who don't like the game? Marine Corps. Gunnery Sergeant John Mundy states, "If someone doesn't agree with the game, they can spend their money elsewhere."

Exactly! Instead of wasting time and bandwidth bitching on the internet, spend your money elsewhere, because no one cares about your opinion.Posted at 3:17PM on Apr 10th 2009 by Tasti D-Litead
