The buzz about the recently revealed OnLive PC gaming service continues as does the critical comments from certain sectors. One person who is critical of OnLive is Dave Perry but not because he doesn't think their streaming method of delivering games won't work. He says that his own upcoming service, Gaikai, will be a better service than OnLive.Perry, who revealed his plans for the Gaikai company at GDC last week (ahead of a bigger launch at E3), chatted with GamesIndustry.biz and said this about OnLive's plan: " . . . they're never going to be able to beat us on this." The reason is that Gaikai's service won't require any download at all while OnLive's service will require a one MB download. Perry, who has yet to actually give a live demo of the service to the press, says that OnLive needs to watch their backs: "I would be concerned if I was them, I would be very concerned, because they've placed their bet on the table and committed to it now." Meanwhile Perry has updated his own site with a lengthy blog post about his plans for Gaikai.
