It's hard to believe but we have been waiting for over a decade now for 3D Realms to release Duke Nukem Forever. While there's still no word on when the long, long, long in development FPS will be released, there is now an opportunity for you to perhaps play the cigar-smoking, gun shooting, Bruce Campbell-like one liner throwing character.
Right now the company is looking for an actor who can represent Duke Nukem in major gaming events and they have set up a web site for people to turn in an audition tape of themselves looking and acting like the The Man. Live casting calls will also be held in Dallas and New York City in April and in Los Angeles in May. The winner will be revealed during E3 in June. Technically this contest is to help promote an upcoming Duke Nukem portable console game but hey . . . maybe we can get lucky and 3D Realms can use him to promote Duke Nukem Forever.
