Earlier this week we reported on rumors that members of Cryptic Studios have been trying to recruit players from City of Heroes (via message boards and in-game messages) to beta test their upcoming super hero MMO Champions Online. Now a Cryptic rep has admitted they have indeed made such moves.

The message comes from "Marcom Manager" Ivan Sulic who states, " . . . a few of our employees thought it might be a good idea to contact avid MMO notables and various guild leaders floating about to see if they wanted to test." He added, "If a line was crossed, it was totally inadvertent and no harm was intended." Still it remains to be seen if this breach of protocol will have a lasting effect.
