BioShock 2 rumors put down . . . but the reality is even cooler
Having said that it looks like the actual details of the 2K Marin-developed sequel could be even cooler than the rumors. According to message board posts and coverage on sites like Kotaku and Shacknews, the character you play is in fact a Big Daddy, one of the main antagonists in the original BioShock. Your mission is apparently to liberate Little Sisters from other Big Daddies in Rapture. You get access to both plasmids and that big honking drill as well. Neat.
The sites have other details about the Game Informer article but we suspect we will get the full skinny on the game very soon.

Do we have to play as a Bouncer though? I'd rather be a Rosie and blast the enemies with that rivet gun.Posted at 10:30PM on Mar 13th 2009 by Sam
Have you gone to the there is something in the sea website? after reading all the information there and seeing that picture above it looks like we are looking at a whole new breed of big daddy. They are fast, agile, and skilled as compared to the giant hulking big daddies of the first game. I wouldn't be surprised if there were more than one new type to be found back in the Rapture.Posted at 2:47AM on Mar 14th 2009 by Stephen
That's because the thing in the picture is a "Big Sister", so yes it is a new type.Posted at 10:19AM on Mar 15th 2009 by Ihavepants

This sounds pretty sweet. I was wondering how they could set it in Rapture again, and that sounds like the ticket.Posted at 10:27PM on Mar 13th 2009 by Bouncer
