Some StarCraft II fans upset about voice actor changes . . but does it matter?
Now the fan web site Starcraftinfowire.net is reporting that supposedly "thousands" of StarCraft fans are upset that those two actors will not be reprising those roles for the upcoming sequel StarCraft 2. The usual fan boy activities of online petitions, forum posts and more have been screaming to get these two actors back for their parts (indeed, Talken did in fact return to handle one line for the Sarah Kerigan role in a StarCraft II cinematic that was first shown at BlizzCon last year).
However we are going to go way out on a limb and make a prediction that it will not matter in the slightest. Blizzard is likely far more interested in making the actual game be as good as it can be. We think they are not worried about what we believe is a very small but vocal section of the StarCraft fan base that believes voice casting for CGI cut-scenes is more important than anything else in StarCraft II.

Some people can bitch about anything. Hey, noobs, the voice of hottie Nanako on Shin-chan was changed in season 2, go complain about that too while you're at it. Oh sorry, I meant to say 'while your at it', lol.Posted at 5:24PM on Mar 11th 2009 by Strontium 90
Oh Whew!! I thought you were gonna say they were the same person and the music from The Crying Game was going to start playing...Posted at 6:08PM on Mar 11th 2009 by Gomer
I'm a little disappointed, but I will buy the game anyways since Starcraft is awesome.Posted at 7:47PM on Mar 11th 2009 by Erik Stroud
Seriously, this doesnt matter at all. It barely warrants an article on it. I just hope the gameplay is as good as starcraft was when it first came out. Posted at 9:28PM on Mar 11th 2009 by Jason
Seriously?
You're linking relatively irrelevant gaming links, but not the source. Mentioning the source briefly but not linking or even using the right name/URL. Is this common practice at Bigdownload.com?
Either use the professional news source link:

or the fansite link:

Might want to learn how to spell "Kerigan" as well...Posted at 7:57AM on Mar 12th 2009 by Tripwire
Small apology from me:
The link obviously links correct, and there is a "Source" button that I didn't see.
There are some typos in the news item though =)Posted at 8:04AM on Mar 12th 2009 by Leord

If they're still using these voices for current trailers and ads, I see a problem with it. If they decided on someone else, maybe because the fit the part better, or maybe these people found out what a big deal starcraft is and want a percentage of the profits or something, if that's true, maybe starcraft fans want these voice actors to bleed blizzard dry?Posted at 4:36PM on Mar 11th 2009 by Sam
