Valve's regular weekend sale from their Steam service is a particularly timely one. For this weekend only you can download and purchase Capcom's 2007 third person sci-fi action game Lost Planet for just $4.99. That's 75 percent off its normal Steam price.
Lost Planet was one of the first PC games released that supported DirectX10 graphical features. In 2008 Capcom released Lost Planet Colonies which contained the original game with some new features and cross-platform multiplayer support with the Xbox 360 version. This week Capcom announced plans to release a full fledged sequel, Lost Planet 2. However at the moment the publisher is only officially confirming that it will be released for the Xbox 360. However it's likely that Capcom will port the game to the PC as well.

"I was going to buy this for the 360, but I have more steam friends, so i'm on top of this sh*t. I'm also trying to work on my CSS map, but I just found out that steam pauses downloads when you start up a steam program. damn."
