Yet another MMO-style game has entered its open beta stage. Today Abandon Interactive announced that they have launched the open beta for Freaky Creatures, the Pokemon-like online game that allows folks to create their own creatures and have them battle against other players' creations in turn based combat. You can also build and customize your own lair for your creature

While there's no word on when the beta test will end, a press release from Abandon Interactive states that Starter Packs for the game will ship to retail stores in March for $19.95. In an unusual move the game will ship to stores not as a disk but as a USB flash drive that also comes with two action figures.
