New official Nvidia GeForce drivers released

Last week Nvidia released new beta GeForce graphics drivers designed to improve the performance of F.E.A.R. 2 among other things. Today the graphics chip maker decided to release official non-beta GeForce drivers that make the beta fixes and improvements from the beta drivers official.

The release notes for the new 182.06 drivers go into more detail on what's new and improved, including full support for OpenGL 3.0, and new PhysX game physics software drivers, In addition to the improved F.E.A.R. 2 performace there are a few minor bug fixes for games like Fallout 3 and Lord of the Rings Online with certain GeForce-based cards. The new drivers come in Windows XP and Vista flavors and as usual come in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions.
