Burnout Paradise PC to keep getting expansions?
The release of The Ultimate Box will not be the end of Criterion's plans for the game. They plan to release a number of paid DLC packs in the next several months. While there is no specific confirmation yet on if any of these expansions will be made available for the PC, Criterion is working on three car packs for the game that will add a number of new vehicles to the streets of Paradise City. The Legendary Cars Pack has cars that look more than a little familiar while the Toy Cars pack will let you drive minuature cars on the streets. The Boost Specials will add two more extra fast moving cars.
Criterion also plans to add an all-new driving area to the game, Surf Island, and just this past weekend announced their plans for the new Cops and Robbers mode, which sounds on the surface to be an awful lot like the Need For Speed series. Again, Criterion has not yet announced when any of these content upgrades will be available, how much they will cost and if they will be made available for PC owners.

^ I think we've seen most of the free DLC for this game that we're going to see, regardless of platform. I think most of coming DLC will be for pay on the 360 and PS3 so I don't expect them to treat the PC any different. Technically, isn't the new party mode included in the PC version? That is a $10 value on the consoles.
Anyway, I'm still waiting for the Steam version. I felt burned by getting the boxed (and DRM'd) copy of Dead Space when there was a Steam version released a month or two later. I'm not making that mistake again. Steam, Impulse, or nothing.

^ No DRM crap. Just enter keycode once and thats it. No online protection either, so pirates can play online tooPosted at 4:00PM on Feb 10th 2009 by Game_playa
I still only want to buy it on Steam. But I will definitely get it when(/if) it gets there.Posted at 3:56AM on Feb 11th 2009 by Ihavepants
