E3 2009 reveals first exhibitors; NCsoft and Codemasters still missing

With four months to go before the Electronic Entertainment Expo goes back to its larger trade show routs, the event's organizers the Entertainment Software Association has relaunched the E3 2009 web site and opened up the event for attendees to register. As we have mentioned before this year's edition of E3 will not be a invite-only event like in the past two years. However it is still technically restricted to folks that have a game industry connection.

The web site has also posted up the first list of exhibitors who will be attending this year's show. One company that missed E3 last year (and also pulled out from the ESA) is Activision but they will be returning to E3 for the 2009 show. At the moment the list has 68 exhibitors but some major game publishers like Codemasters and NCsoft are not yet displayed on the list (LucasArts is also not listed but a rep for the publisher has told us they will be attending) However there's plenty of time for those companies and others to join in.
