Sims 3 release date now in question
In a statement, EA says it is "evaluating the launch window." for the game, adding "The game looks great and in the near future we'll have more information." There's no clear word on why the game would be delayed but it could be a big blow to EA which is counting on sales of The Sims 3 to help prop up its already troubled financial issues.

I am very dissappointed at the change of release date for Sims 3. Had I known this, I would not have pre ordered. I only hope EA will reconsider and release in the very near future. Posted at 11:46PM on Feb 3rd 2009 by LB
I preordered mine on the 2nd of February hoping to play it when i get a week of college and work. Now they change just when im going to be sitting my final exams. I seriously hope they reconsider and change it to something a bit more reasonable.
People have been waiting for over a year for this game now, but this seems to be a habit with EA, changing release dates.Posted at 3:05PM on Feb 5th 2009 by Luke
It looks like EA has confirmed that the date has been pushed to June 2009. On their website there is a 'countdown to launch' link that pulls up a June/09 date...in fact it actually lists it as beeing 116 days away...

This is B.S!!!!! JUNE!.... is soo far away. Maybe EA Games should of made time-machines so we don't have to wait every time that change their dates on their games.Posted at 2:04PM on Mar 8th 2009 by Jeffreysuni

It's been explicitly gone over on the Sims forums: It is still on track for the release date. EA has said absolutely nothing about a change in the release date, and has in fact told it's community that they are still releasing it in February.Posted at 10:49AM on Jan 26th 2009 by Kyle
