Windows 7 beta download deadline extended again
Microsoft's beta release of their upcoming Windows 7 OS suffered through some issues at first as tons of people wanted to download the file. Microsoft extended the inital deadline until, well, today. However on Friday Microsoft officially announced that they were pushing back the deadline yet again.
On the official Windows 7 blog site the announcement was made that the final deadline to download the beta will now be February 10. So you still have over two weeks to decided whether or not you want to take the risk to install the OS on your PC. The beta expires in August and Windows 7 itself is currently speculated to be released sometime before the end of the year.

The 7 beta is very stable, I would recommend installing it in a dual boot configuration first to make sure it fits your needs and your hardware configuration properly.
With any new OS, test it on your own before going all in and replacing what you have already.Posted at 5:29PM on Jan 24th 2009 by Shelbz

What happen when the beta ends? Do you have to revert back to Vista?Posted at 4:49PM on Jan 26th 2009 by joeybeast

Apart from few issues windows 7 beta seems to be a good/stable release. Download Windows 7 with your download manager and send feedback to microsoft about any issues, so they do know about them & fix them. Beta seems to be missing gui enhancements, but drive locker and few other new features seems a plus.
