The hiatus for the Battlefield Heroes beta is finally coming to an end. The long-in-development free-to-play FPS from developer Digital Illusions and publisher Electronic Arts is once again accepting sign ups for gamers to try out thr tiltle.

The game had a closed beta phase throughout 2008 but late in the year the developer announced it was shutting down the beta to work more on the game's back end. There's no word yet on when the new beta test will begin once again but folks who got a beta invite last year won't need to sign up for the new beta phase.
