Electronic Arts has already made it clear that it is looking to make more job cuts at the publisher due to continued financial issues. Now Kotaku is reporting rumors from unnamed sources that EA has moved to cut ties with the Australian branch of its internal developer Pandemic Studios.
According to the story, the studio hasn't been shut down in the normal sense. It claims EA has allowed the developer to continue to develop games it is currently working on and find another publisher for them. EA acquired Pandemic last year along with its Los Angeles studios which continues to be under the EA banner (it shipped Lord of the Rings: Conquest this week). Naturally we will issue a follow-up if EA has an official comment.
