Folks waiting for Valve to release a patch for their hit zombie co-op shooter Left 4 Dead should not have to way for much longer. A post on Valve's Steam forums reveals that the game will be getting a major patch sometime this week.

One of the forum members replicated an email he received from Valve's Chet Faliszek who stated, "The problem on the PC side was a few large bugs affected other systems that we were going to rewrite on the pc so we ended up waiting to fix a whole class of bugs instead of just individual bugs. The patch should be out this week." Of course we are also still waiting for Valve to announce the first details on its downloadable content for Left 4 Dead.
