As some of you may know, Microsoft released the first public beta of their Windows 7 PC OS on Friday and the amount of traffic their servers got was more than enough to shut down their downloads for a while. While everything has since been fixed, Microsoft has apparently made some changes to their original beta release plans.
On their official Windows 7 blog site, Microsoft announced that their 2.5 million download limit for the first beta has now been pulled. You now have until Jan. 24 to download the beta with no fear that Microsoft will pull the download before then. So if you want to install the OS on your PC and see if it plays that DOS game you still have you can give it a shot. The beta will expire for everyone who installs it on August 1.

I installed Windows 7 and it works, but my USB dongle that I use to get wifi on my computer isn't recognized by Windows 7, there for I can't access the internet thus it's kind of pointless for me to use.Posted at 3:02PM on Jan 12th 2009 by Alex
