You have to give it up for US Representative Joe Baca. The Democratic congressman from the 43rd district of California has tried more than once to push some kind of bill through the US Congress that would regulate the sales of games. None of them have passed.
While an all new session of Congress has started, Baca is still pushing down the same old tired arguments in a new bill (H.R. 231). This time he wants to have a Surgeon General-like warning put on every "T" rated game saying, ""WARNING: Excessive exposure to violent video games and other violent media has been linked to aggressive behavior." Baca tries to make his case that "..research continues to show a proven link between playing violent games and increased aggression in young people." Too bad there are also studies that show just the opposite. We expect this bill to go nowhere much like all the rest of his attempts.
