Eidos financials hit with disappointing Tomb Raider Underworld sales
As a result Tomb Raider Underworld is now estimated to have sold 1.5 million units world wide by the end of 2008, below Eidos' expectations. The company is now saying its full year revenue will be between 160 million-180 million pounds, below their previous estimate of between 180 million and 200 million pounds. Of course, late last year rumors were that Eidos was being considered for acquisition by several different parties.

I'm sure if Tomb Raider fans knew what they were getting into when purchasing this game that the sales figure would have dropped by at least 25% of the current revenue generated.
Ever since Tomb Raider III the game has been going downhill with everything except the graphics. I mean come on - Underworld has no bosses, bad storyline and is one of the shortest games in the series. I completed this on hard mode in 5 hours, very very dissapointing. Suffice to say I won't be buying any more Tomb Raider games even though I used to be a big fan of the franchise :/

I think this is damn sad because I found Underworld to be a friggin' awesome game. Ever since Crystal Dynamics took over the franchise, TR has been amazing.
