The rumors started last month and today Electronic Arts made them official. The publisher does indeed plan to release an expansion pack to their alternate history RTS game Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3 this March. The expansion, titled Uprising, will be different in a number of ways from previous C&C expansions. First it will be a stand alone game that won't require Red Alert 3 be installed. Another difference is that it will be released via a digital download only; there are no plans to release the game via retail stores.
The expansion will feature four mini-campaigns; three will center on one of the factions in the main game while the fourth will deal with the origins of one of Red Alert 3's main characters Yuriko. The campaigns will also feature new live action cut scenes. Actors Gemma Atkinson and Ivana Milicevic will return to handle their Red Alert 3 characters with new actors said to be announced soon. The game will also feature 50 levels in the Commander's Challenge as players will face off against nine commanders with various rules and conditions for each level. Pricing for Red Alert 3: Uprising has yet to be announced.

I've been playing since Tiberian sun. I played this game along side Star Craft. Star Craft was amazing but the graphics were not going any where. So the C&C series kept me content for awhile. Posted at 12:09PM on Jan 8th 2009 by www.askyourpc.com

Awesome, looking forward to it. I really enjoy the C&C games, and Red Alert 3 is a great one. Posted at 9:54AM on Jan 8th 2009 by Jon
