If you are looking for upcoming space sim games, the independent game developer Starwraith 3D may have what you are seeking with the reveal of their upcoming game (with the odd title) Evochron Legends. The game's official web site has now launched with lots of info and screenshots from the game.

Evochron Legends takes place in a free-form game world where the web site claims you can play "without plot restrictions, conditions, or limitations." You can participate in a wide variety of activities including " escorting, transporting, mining, exploring, cleaning equipment" and lots more. Both single and multiplayer modes are supported and it also has support for a device called the TrackIR, a device that sits on top of your monitor which tracks your head movements and incorporates those movements into the game. The game is currently schedule for release sometime this month.
