Gamers in Australia got some good news today, thanks to the country's Classification Board. Last month the board had decided to deny giving the upcoming first person shooter F.E.A.R. 2 a rating due to its violent content. That move effectively banned the Monolith-developed game from being sold in Australia.
However, IGN's Australian web site reports that the game's publisher Warner Bros. Interactive appeal the decision and today the country's classification board reversed its decision and gave F.E.A.R. 2 a MA15+ rating. The game will apparently be sold in that country unedited with no need for any modifications. F.E.A.R. 2 is set for release in the US in February.
