With the first patch for Grand Theft Auto IV for the PC now released, Rockstar Games now has plans to hold a online multiplayer event today for folks who might be interested in playing against the development team of the open world action game.
From Noon to 4 pm ET today, you can log into the Rockstar Social Club and play one of the many multiplayer game modes in GTA IV. During that time you might find yourself playing against one of the game's development team members. Their Games For Windows Live gamertags are listed on the Rockstar Social Club web site. Some people who log into the game at any time during this weekend will be eligible to win one of 24 prize packages from Rockstar Games.

You may have read my earlier post about this in the patch posting commentary, but if you did not:
I played the first 90 minutes today. We could not find ANY, ANY Rockstar GTs online. Every game we could start would kick us off and tell us that "we are runnng too slow for multiplayer".
Understand this is the same PC that played just fine with the GFWL team this past Wednesday online with Quatum of Solace PC. Rockstar can smoke and mirrors excuses all they want, but the fact this game is buggy, unfinished, and very rushed.
One patch did not even come close to fixing all this, and in fact, made new issues arise.
I should win a prize pack just for finding all this out today. It was a very fustrating, painful, useless 90 minutes I spent trying to play this game online.
XBox 360 - This game is an insult to GFWL.Posted at 8:12PM on Dec 13th 2008 by SidearmS
