New Team Fortress 2 update; Scout next in line for expansion
The next major update will focus on the Scout class. There's no info on what will be done with the class but Walker asks anyone with any suggestions to write them out on the Team Fortress 2 forum pages. Finally some engine improvements made for Valve's current game Left 4 Dead will make their way to Team Fortress 2 as well, including better multi-core processor support.

I want to see the Engy get a full workover too.
Note to anybody who is *not* Valve: want to increase your sales? ACT LIKE VALVE. If people come to expect that you'll give out free updates to a game more than a year after release, they will flock to you and treat you like a king.Posted at 12:37PM on Dec 13th 2008 by James
Man all these upgrades to engis just make for me camping players...
I play spy as my No1 class and I have noticed in the past few months that more players are becoming campers and just hanging out by their spawn points.
The new engi upgrades makes it take longer to sap a tele or dispencer, this reduces the effectiveness of the spy even more.
The recharge the cloak is a nice touch but it really doesnt change my gameplay at all.
Ive gotten frustrated over the past few games of making my way into their base but only to run into 3-4 sentry guns, camping pyros with back burner and heavy's standing by almost unsappable dispencers.Posted at 2:17AM on Dec 14th 2008 by Matt
teleporters being far more important reducing a spies effectiveness? i think its the other way around.
and i cant imagine the cloak recharge change wouldnt change ur playstyle, now u dont have to hide in 1 place waiting for ur cloak as much
and not being able to get past 3-4 sgs and pyros and heavys guarding them? thats just unfair, spies should be able to win the game themselves.Posted at 5:16PM on Dec 19th 2008 by kielbassa

I can't wait for the improved multi-core support. It should increase performance by a lot if Left 4 Dead is any indication.Posted at 11:13PM on Dec 11th 2008 by Einhanderkiller
