The headline (almost) says it all, doesn't it? Valve's Steam service was already revealed as one of the digital download locations that folks could use to grab Rockstar Games' PC port of Grand Theft Auto IV. Now pre-ordering for the open world action game has begun and Steam users get an extra when they put down their money for the title.
If you pre-order the game before GTA IV comes out on Dec. 2 you can immediately download and play one of the previous games in the series, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, for free. The game regularly sells for $9.99 via Steam. Vice City is considered the best game in the GTA III-based trilogy.

That is really fucking awesome of Steam to do. This might push me to buy the game on Steam. I was already thinking about it, but now I think it's a done deal.Posted at 1:07PM on Nov 22nd 2008 by Hashbrown Hunter
