This demo is for A Vampyre Story, a point-and-click adventure game written by Bill Tiller, who also worked on classic LucasArts games like Steven Spielberg's The Dig and The Curse of Monkey Island. The game combines classic adventure gameplay with updated 3D graphics. The full game is currently scheduled to release on November 25. Check the official website for more details.

I absolutely ache for this game. I've been following its roller coaster development since the initial announcement in 'The Inventory' online magazine way back in 02 or 03. Strangely, I already feel emotional attached to the game from watching the play by play. From the initial Inventory / AdventureGamers.com controversy surround the announcement, to the rather painful Bad Brain Entertainment fiasco, to the triumphant moment when they secured a publisher and full funding; it has been such as long road. That said, I'm skipping on the demo so I can go in with a clean slate. I'm not sure any game can live up to 5+ years of expectations but as long as it is a fun adventure game, I won't be disappointed. Thanks for hosting the demo and helping to call attention to the game BDl.
edit: Also note that there seems to be a little confusion concerning the voice acting in the demo. There is a chance these might not be the final voice tracks for the North American release.
