Overlord on sale on Steam; client update released
As they always do, Valve offers up a game from their Steam service with a highly cut price point for one weekend only. This weekend it's for Overlord, the critically acclaimed action-strategy-RPG where you get to play as a high fantasy bad guy. Developed by Triumph Studios and published by Codemasters, Overlord is now on sale via Steam for just $9.99. That 75 percent off its normal price. A sequel, Overlord II, is due out in 2009.
Valve has also released a new Steam client update. The patch notes give the details on what's included. The update supposedly improved Steam's start up time, added support for an upcoming server groups feature in their zombie co-op shooter Left 4 Dead and has a number of bug fixes.
