Having Fallout 3 become a sales hit out of the blocks wasn't a shock and this week the NPD Group proved it with their latest list of the top 10 best selling PC games in the US at retail stores. This week's list for games sold in the week ending on Nov. 1 had Bethesda Softworks' RPG claiming the top spot. In fact the game showed up three times; the regular edition, the Collector's Edition at number three and the Amazon.com exclusive Survival Edition at number nine

The list also has a strong debut for EA's RTS title Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3 which came in at number two with the Premier Edition of the game squeezing in at number 10. All of these titles pushed out games like Warhammer Online, Dead Space and Civilization IV: Colonization out of the top 10 list. In fact, there's no listing at all for any World of Warcraft game. Now that is a shocker.
