Epic Games continues to expand the number of game developers and studios under its umbrella. The studio has bought People Can Fly and Chair Entertainment and also owns a stake in an outsourcing studio, Epic Games China. Today the company announced that Epic Games China is expanding as it has bought Seattle based game developer Darkstar Industries.Epic Games China has renamed the company as well. It is now called Titan Studios and will be working on both original projects as well as helping Epic Games China with their outsourcing work. One of their projects is the upcoming PS3 game Fat Princess. A number of upcoming Unreal Engine 3 projects are in the works at Titan Studios, including an unnamed MMO title.
Update: Epic Games' PR folks sent us a note saying that while Epic Games owns a stake in Epic Games China it is not a wholly owned subsidiary of Epic Games. Epic Games China is a separate company from Epic Games with Titan Studios being an extension of Epic Games China.
