City of Heroes finally coming to the Mac

One of the most popular and longest running MMO titles is finally getting a native Macintosh port. That game is City of Heroes, the super hero MMO from publisher (and now developer) NCsoft. Today the company announced that the game would be ported over to the Mac platform by TransGaming, who has handled a number of PC-to-Mac game ports.

The Mac version of City of Heroes will be released as a digital download game by the end of 2008 with beta testing to begin around the time the game's free "Issue 13" expansion is released. Mac users will be able to play with their PC counterparts in the same world and Mac gamers will get all of the updates and content expansions at the same time as PC players of the game.
