Empire: Total War Special Forces edition announced

Yep, we do have another Empire: Total War news story to tell you about. This time the upcoming historical RTS game from developer The Creative Assembly is getting what publisher Sega is calling a Special Forces edition. According to a note on the official Total War web site, the Special Forces edition will contain exclusive "elite units" along with a printed map of the game's campaign map.

That's all the details we have for now. There's no word on any behind-the-scenes DVD or music CD or special packaging or the price of this new edition. However we will keep an eye out on any more info on the Special Forces edition before Empire Total War is released in early February 2009.
