Earlier this week we reported that Gamestop was offering early access to the demo for the upcoming zombie shooter Left 4 Dead with pre-orders for the game. Today the game's developer Valve officially confirmed those plans, adding that the early demo offer also extends to pre-orders for the game via their Steam service.

As previously reported the demo will be released for all pre-orders on Nov. 6 and will have both a single player mode and a co-op mode for up to four players. The demo will be made freely available to everyone on Nov. 11. Oddly, the press release states the demo "concludes" when the full game is released on Nov. 18. That may mean the demo will become unavailable after the full game ships. We are contacting Valve for more info.
