It's not exactly a shock to hear this news but Capcom has apparently decided to keep the PC version of their upcoming fighting game Street Fighter IV on the lower track of development while the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions get higher priority.
It was admittedly an unexpected but welcome bit of news that Street Fighter IV was being made for the PC in the first place but now IGN is reporting via a Capcom rep that while the console ports will still be coming sometime this winter, "PC version is in the works, but will come post-console release." It's still unknown how the PC version will differ from its console counterparts.

considering the arcade IS a windows based PC, this is bullshit!
give us the arcade version not a port of the consoles.Posted at 11:59AM on Oct 24th 2008 by born2expire

I'm going to guess a bit-for-bit console interface, not utilizing the cpu/graphics power of the PC (e.g. making it better than the consoles), having an annoying DRM measure, and I don't know if it has online support or not, but they'll probably go with the GameSpy (*very* annoying, bloated piece of software) route. Plus if it has bugs, it won't be fixed in future patches.
Capcom PC ports are always like this, not to mention being a bad port that will come out later. Why even bother releasing it for PC if not on time with the other releases and actually doing a good job of it?Posted at 11:32AM on Oct 24th 2008 by TB
