As we get closer and closer to Halloween, more and more MMOs are ramping up their All Hallows Eve style in-game events. However it looks like the folks at Blizzard have decided to go all out with their own event for World of Warcraft. Almost without warning the game's servers began feeling the effects of zombies that infect other players.
The world event isn't just a fun Halloween diversion. In the game world it was instigated by the Lich King which means its a preamble to the events in Wrath of the Lich King, the upcoming second expansion for World of Warcraft. This could just be a warm-up to a even bigger in-game event.

It sucks. They've made the game virutally unplayable by all but level 70 characters. Now, when attacked by zombies, many which are players that purposely get infected and make other (even allied) players and NPCs into zombies, you can't even get healed. In the beginning of this nonsense, you at least had 10 minutes to get healed. Now it's down to one minute, unless they manage to turn you into a zombie right away (versus just infect you). For PVE players, the game is now crap. I came to your site to read about Warhammer so I have find some other game to play besides World of Warcrap.Posted at 12:37AM on Oct 27th 2008 by dee grishaber
