Electronic Arts is releasing the most highly anticipated RTS game of 2008 next week and Big Download wants to give three of our readers a free copy of the PC version of Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3 so they can battle with the Soviets, check out the new Rising Sun faction and stare at all of the cool babes in the live-action cut scenes (the game is rated "T" for "Teen" by the ESRB).
How do you win? it's pretty simple:

* To enter, post a comment on this contest page.
* The comment must be left before 11:59 pm Eastern Time on Nov. 2.
* You may enter only once.
* Three winners will be selected in a random drawing.
* Those winners will receive a boxed retail copy of the PC version of Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3 from publisher Electronic Arts (valued at $50)

I think Red Alert 3 is an abomination that annihilates the Red Alert spirit. It seems to me that when making Red Alert 3 the game developers simply took the standard units from Red Alert 2, added a bouquet of totally ludicrous units like armoured bears, shrink-ray helicopters and circus-canon vehicles (at least the fictional units from previous Red Alert games were based on real-life research/military projects – that is what made Red Alert great!) and toped it of by adding a new faction culled from existing Japanese games & media (complete with supernatural schoolgirls and transforming robots). Then they made the units amphibious and called it a completely “original, breakthrough game” !

In my opinion anyone buying Red Alert 3 would be better of spending that money on a new set of underwear. However, since you are offering this game for free, I’ll sign up. It would be nice to have a complete C&C Red Alert collection and even if Red Alert 3 provides 0 satisfaction (even as a stand-alone game), I would not suffer from buyer’s remorse. :)
