The male sack, huh? :P I like the new format.
In mapping with real tools for FPS PC games like Quake, Doom, Half-Life etc: the tools are akin to modeling with something like Blender or 3DSMax, but instead of working with meshes you're working with primitives: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Primitive_(geometry). No code is really involved until you get into things like shaders and scripting, and then it's often in a manner specific to the game engine.
If I could steal one console exclusive I would take Final Fantasy. Not only because it's one of my favorite franchises, but because it's wildly popular everywhere in the world, not just in North America, and people would flock to it. It would bring the one advantage that consoles have over PCs, and that's Japanese developers. There's a very specific kind of demographic that is attracted to Japanese developed games, and they have little to no reason to acknowledge the PC because the platform lacks Japan's support.
Little Big Planet is something that belongs on PC, so I'd bring that as a simultaneous release to console and PC.
As for the death of PC gaming, it's a problem of perception more than anything. There's really nothing to fix as the market is evolving and maturing on its own as it is, but people are averse to jumping on board because they perceive it as unhealthy when they're at GameStop buying the new Gears of Duty Creed Cry Gaiden and Crysis is on a small porn-esque rack in the middle of the store next to the 5 copies of Big Momma's House.
