New World of Warcraft patch about to be released

Last weekend was a big one for World of Warcraft fans due to BlizzCon but that was nothing compared to today; it's time for the big 3.0.2. patch for Blizzard's hit MMO title. For non-WoW players, this is significant in that it will be the last major patch released before next month's shipment of the expansion pack Wrath of the Lich King to stores.

So what is in the 3.0.2. patch? Our sister site WoW Insider has you covered with all of the details with the full and extensive patch notes for the release. Among the additions is the new Achievement system along with a ton of new content additions, changes and bug fixes. Expect lots of slowness in the game's servers as the nearly 11 million subscribers to the game upgrade today.
